Building Automation I

Introductory course to the easy-to-use native BACnet DDC control system. Learn about the complete DDC product line and how these products and software are used in new and retrofit applications. In addition, this course focuses on the basic operation and interface of the system.

Building Automation II

Learn how to engineer, program, and commission an operational database of one stand-alone native BACnet controller. Get an introduction to General Control Language (GCL+) by programming and commissioning an air-handling unit complete with temperature sensors, fan start/stop/status points, heating and chilled water valves, control dampers… and more. Learn tricks on how to drill down on data, display multiple systems and information, and command objects without leaving your navigator screen.

Building Automation III

This course entails advanced programming techniques and focuses on high-speed networking. Students create, share, and program a database of information over our high-speed Ethernet network. Learn Derived Network Architecture (DNA) and how to create Event Routers, Event Logs, and Event Classes. Create a database for a networked controller by following predefined processes of design, installation, database creation, checkout, startup, programming, and commissioning.

This class will cover installation methods and standards, checkout and commissioning standards, and programming of GCL+.

Hands-on class designed for the operator who has enteliVIZ graphics. Learn to develop dynamic graphic displays of HVAC systems, linking objects with system icons, trend logs, importing picture files, using and linking text files with graphical images, converting programs to pictures with animation and sound, pop-ups, thermographics, drill downs, alarms, dashboard, energy/system reports, and more.

VAV Application

A hands-on one-day class designed for the operator who has a Setpoint system controlling VAV AHUs and VAV terminal boxes. Learn how DDC controls are typically applied in VAV applications and the basics of VAV air systems, including fan-powered boxes and reheat. After taking this class, the user will be able to configure, balance, and operate their own VAV systems more effectively.

Virtual Meters

enteliWEB class

Learn how to create virtual utility meters within your DDC Control System to monitor and determine utility consumption. This course covers the values required to create the meter to meet the requirements of the algorithm used to quantify each utility usage. Review the algorithms for electrical kilowatts, electrical kilowatt hours, BTU/hr for both airside and waterside systems, water consumed in gallons, trend logs, and objects required to measure consumption.

Card Access

Business Privacy Policy Artwork

A hands-on class designed for the operator who has a Card Access System. Learn how the card access systems work with the DDC controls systems. After taking this class, the user will be able to understand key concepts of the card access system and be able to configure and operate their own system.

Tridium I

This course consists of individual sessions that provide you the information you will need to begin learning about the Niagara Framework and is an introduction to the easy-to-use Tridium Niagara 4 control system. Learn about the complete Tridium Controls product line and how these products and software are used in new and retrofit applications. The class covers control theory and terminology; building automation system architectures; open protocols and discussions on web access and graphic capabilities.

Tridium II

This class focuses on the basic operation and interface of the system. Learn how to engineer, program, and commission an operational database of a JACE 8000 Niagara Block.

Tridium III

This course entails advanced programming techniques and focuses on high-speed networking. Students create, share, and program a database of information over our high-speed Ethernet network. Learn how to create a project site and connect to other students’ networks. Create a database for a networked controller by following predefined processes of design, installation, database creation, checkout, start up, programming and commissioning.

Tridium IV

This is an advanced class for the operator who wants to be challenged and improve operator skills and system performance. This course covers the controller integration to multiple third-party standalone BACnet and Modbus devices. Class will cover installation methods and standards, checkout and commissioning standards and programming of Niagara to support controlling those devices.
